Heart-Centered Classroom Management

A simple 3 step system for implementing classroom management in the elementary classroom by teaching a lifelong foundation in social and emotional strategies

Join the Waiting List

It's time to reclaim your time and peaceful classroom environment.

Let me know if any of this sounds familiar.

I’ve tried all the classroom management tips and tricks. Behavior charts, reward systems, putting on a GoNoodle, coming up with expectations as a class...I’ve done it all! And it does work....temporarily.

But I find myself constantly trying to come up with the next thing that will keep my classroom peaceful."

I dread the 'crazy times' of the year because it’s impossible to get my kids under control. The full moon, holidays, right before a vacation...learning is out the window because the entire day feels like it’s dedicated to behavior management.”

“I’m constantly putting out ‘little fires’. It feels like I spend most of my day managing behavior and keeping kids focused.”

You’ve done the classroom community thing.

You’ve tried morning meeting, and you’ve even tried teaching social and emotional skills for a few minutes a day. The kids seem to understand in the moment, but when you’re not peering over their shoulder, all that SEL teaching is lost.

You get the theory behind intrinsic motivation. It can’t be all about the stickers.

You don’t want to give out rewards for every little thing. But, let’s be honest, giving out stickers is totally motivating!  You want your kids to be intrinsically motivated to show positive behaviors, but they seem too little to understand these big words and values. Where’s the middle ground?

You could write a book on classroom management systems.

You have jars with marbles, charts with stickers, individual behavior trackers, parent communication journals, behavior logs ... but it’s all too much to keep up with! You need more time to focus on teaching.

WHAT IF YOU COULD...

  • Have a simple classroom management system that feels do-able
  • Cut down on the steps, prep, materials and paperwork behind these systems
  • Find a classroom management system that actually fits you and your students (Rather than trying to fit into what works for someone else.)
  • Give your students the skills they need to make choices with emotional awareness
  • Help students build relationships and foster social and emotional growth in a meaningful way
  • Make this actually stick, so you have more time to teach and spend less time managing students

Meet the Teacher

I’m Andriana, a social-emotional learning coach, former elementary school teacher, and TPT author!

I’m the teacher blogger and creator behind The Active Educator, a platform designed to offer educators with meaningful management practices through movement-based learning and social-emotional development.

Classroom management is my thing, and at the core is heart.  With this course, I will coach you through The Heart-Centered method where you will learn how to build connections, offer rewards, and facilitate repairs with your students.

This method has transformed the relationships I have with my students and I have grown more as an educator than I could have ever imagined.  I can’t wait to guide you through creating your dream classroom community!

TAKE IT FROM A TEACHER WHO HAS TRIED THE HEART-CENTERED METHOD

“I’ve been following you for months and have pretty much made you a part of my nightly routine. Your passion and honesty keeps me motivated to be the best I can be each day. I love watching your Instagram stories when I get into bed because they leave me feeling extremely motivated for the next day and I wake up excited to implement some of the things I see you doing in your classroom. What I would not give just to be in your classroom for a week and watch you work and how your day runs.

I just wanted to say thank you. Thank you for being the team I don’t have this year, the inspiration I need, and the motivation I love. I am so grateful for you. You keep me challenged and excited.

You are amazing. You have a gift, thank you for sharing it with the world. We are all better because of you.”
